What Couples Should Do With Their Wedding Photography?
By Risham Jaiswal
So, We have had the privilege of shooting for over 200 couples and this is what we have learned over the years
Look for a photography team that really fits your personality. Take the ones who understand your comfort and your story. When you get that connection, hold it tight. Your wedding photographers, who are just the right ones, become a part of your journey. Many of our couples still keep in touch with us even after years, and that bond is more valuable than any single picture.
Wedding photography is definitely more than just taking fair pictures. It is about experiencing every moment and having faith in the process. We have shot weddings in Udaipur, Goa, Mumbai, and London, but the one thing that has remained constant everywhere is that the most beautiful captures are those which are unplanned.
If things are not going the way you imagined, then stay out of it. Trying to fix every detail instantaneously is not necessary. Sometimes it happens that the Makeup artists take a lot of time or the day is very windy, a child or the family runs into the frame, or something interrupts a fun moment. These little things, in fact, make the magic. We have witnessed it not only during the grand Udaipur weddings to beautiful beach side destination weddings in Goa. Even in London, during quiet couple shoots by the riverside, the real story always reveals itself in the unplanned moments.
Also, family is very important in this. There will always be voices, laughter, and cheerful noise. Don't try to stop things from happening, let it all go. The energy from that will add charm to your photos. We have seen families who have united with so much love, and it always leaves an impression in the pictures.
Apart from the wedding day, you should also spend time creating a mood board. It helps photographers to understand your vision, the mood you want, and the kind of light that appeals to you. It does not matter if it is a grand palace wedding, creating a mood board will make your story flow naturally.
When the moment arrives, stop thinking about where the camera is and just live it. Laugh freely, cry openly, dance with joy, and hold each other close. This is actually when your story unfolds in its most genuine form.
We uphold the opinion that connection rather than control brings about the best wedding photography. Candid wedding photography is successful as it represents the feeling. Destination wedding photography is about the place becoming part of the story. Merely a couple shoot can convey more love than any pose ever could.
Thus, the next time you think about your wedding photographs, take this into consideration. Do not chase perfection. Rather, chase emotion. The small glances, the quiet tears, the laughter that fills the air. These are the moments that will exist forever.
